06/28/06 - 13995 - Sway Bar Link

To fix the rattling in the front left the sway bar link that was ordered in April was replaced. There were 2797 miles put on the van since the part was ordered. Apparently we weren't the only ones to have issues with "Mr. Have your wife use her finger instead of horn" service manager. He was let go and all the orders that were made during his last fews weeks there were not followed through with. They didn't know the part was ours until we finally called and checked on it.

04/25/06 - 11198 miles - Rotate Tires, Inspect for unusual wear, Horn still not working, more brake vibration (pulsation)

Asked to check for uneven wear of inside of front tires. Some uneven tire wear found on inside of right front tire. Alignment found with in specs.

Check brake vibration. the Rear Rotors are found to be warped. Rotors resurfaced. Block sanded pads, the caliper slides are lubed.

Again I stated that it was not right that this was happening already with such little mileage.

Rattle was found in left front of the van. Front left stabilizer link was loose and creating noise. Order part.

We again let them know that the horn was not working properly. They said it was. I said my wife had to sound the horn because some one had pulle din forn tof her on the road and he said that she didn't need the horn she coudl just use her finger instead. NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL !!!!!

02/15/06 - 7059 miles - Brakes Pulsation, Horn still not working correctly.

Brakes have been found to pulsate. The dealer finds that the front sliders have seized and pads are worn uneven. Found front rotors warped.

Removed and replaced front pads, cleaned and lubed caliper slides, resurfaced rotors.

I argued that it was not right that at only 7059 miles the rotors would have to be resurfaced. This takes life off the rotor. They said that the GM dose not allow rotor replacement, calipers are not cover under warranty.

Tires Were Rotated

Wiper motor, bolt and nut are checked.

The horn is inspected again. The same springs are replaced again.

Front door moldings are replaced.

12/26/05 - Wipers Stop Working in Snow Storm

It's about 6:30PM (very dark here in Central NY) on December 26th, 2005. I'm on my way home from my in-laws after Christmas. Visibility is terrible. All of a sudden the wipers stop. I call On-Star to see if they can diagnose it but they can't. They said it must be mechanical. I flash back to our 2002 Venture days when one of the criss-crossing wipers became loose and tangled and mangled with the other during a rain storm) After arriving home (luckily I was only about 5 miles away when it happened) I opened the hood and found that the nut that holds the wiper arm on the motor was missing. The operator arm had become loose because of this. I thought the nut was long gone but I noticed it sitting on the skid plate at the bottom of the engine compartment. I put it back on and had the dealer check it the next time it was in the shop.

12/09/05 - 4038 miles - Horn - What Horn - Molding Replaced and Other ones Ordered

My wife has had a problem trying to make the horn sound. After several attempts there is only one or two small areas on the wheel that will make the horn sound. The dealer finds the TSB (05-08-54-001A)

Sliding door moldings are replaced, front door moldings are ordered.

11/15/05 - 3378 miles - Door Moldings hare coming loose, Suction cup marks found on sliding door windows.

TSB is found on the moldings. (check yours to see if they apear to be coming off) Parts are ordered.

We noticed that we had several marks on the inside of the sliding door windows. We fog up the windows on the inside and see that there are circular shaped marks and letters and numbers. They appear to be right in the glass. Windex will not tak it off. The dealer checks them out and said they will check with GM. To this day (07/28/08) nothing has been figured out.

Two recalls are fixed (#05015 second row seat latch release handle and #05024 automatic door lock feature)

10/14/05 - Still says 911 miles Lights Flickering - Alternator

After having the car in 09/25/05, it is back in on 10/14/05 for an alternator replacement. The Red cover for the battery is also replaced at this time.

The dealer did not update the mileage - we obviously drove some miles in the 3 week sit took to get the new alternator.
